Politics Free Classrooms

Public schools exist to educate every child. They should not become battlegrounds for partisan politics or government-sponsored religious instruction.

  • Students from every faith, and those with no religious affiliation, deserve to feel welcome in their public schools. Curriculum should remain religiously and politically neutral while exposing students to a broad range of ideas and perspectives.

  • Students deserve an honest education grounded in historical evidence and primary sources. Understanding our nation's achievements alongside its challenges develops informed citizens capable of thoughtful leadership.

  • The most important thing students can learn is how to think, not what to think. I have spent my career teaching students to evaluate evidence, recognize bias, distinguish fact from opinion, analyze multiple perspectives, and navigate today's rapidly changing information landscape with confidence and integrity.
