Academic excellence means challenging students, supporting teachers, and maintaining high expectations for every learner. As an English teacher, I know firsthand what strong instruction requires, and I'll bring that experience to the board.

  • Students deserve rigorous, evidence-based standards that prepare them for success in higher education, the workforce, and civic life. Standards should prioritize educational quality rather than political agendas.

  • Reading is the foundation of every subject. As an English teacher, I believe every student deserves access to high-quality literature, strong reading instruction, and opportunities to become confident, lifelong readers.

  • Students should graduate with a deep understanding of our Constitution, our system of government, and the responsibilities of citizenship. Civic education should encourage informed participation, respectful dialogue, and an appreciation for democratic institutions.

  • An excellent education includes science, technology, engineering, mathematics, the arts, music, physical education, and opportunities for creativity and innovation. Every child deserves a well-rounded education that develops both practical skills and intellectual curiosity.
